The crew you’ll see at your door in Thousand Oaks isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. It’s the same small group of people, most of whom have worked together for years. We’re background-checked, uniformed, and trained to the same Garrison Standard that’s governed every Keegan job since 2005. But more than that, we’re locals who understand what water does to a Conejo Valley home built in 1972 versus one built in 2004. Different framing, different stucco, different drying plan. That kind of local knowledge can’t be trained into someone overnight.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Shane Pruitt, Owner
Shane runs the Thousand Oaks operation the way he’s worked since his first water job: show up when you say you will, write the price down before anything gets touched, and don’t leave until the site is clean. He’s not a suit. Most days he’s in the field, walking a scope of loss with the adjuster or checking moisture readings on a drywall cavity himself. If he tells you something about your house, it’s because he put his own eyes on it. His rule for the whole team is simple: explain things in plain English, and if a repair doesn’t hold, do it again for free. That’s not a slogan to him. It’s the job.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running water and fire jobs across Ventura County for twelve years, and he’s the guy you want when a supply line lets go at 2 a.m. He holds IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration and Fire & Smoke Restoration, and he’s the one who decides whether a room needs standard air movers or a desiccant setup. Desiccant drying, in plain terms, means pulling moisture out with wheels that absorb humidity rather than just blowing air, which matters a lot in Thousand Oaks during marine-layer days when the outside air is already damp. He keeps a printed psychrometrics chart in his van and will happily explain why he’s tracking grain depression if you ask. Outside of work, Marcus rebuilds old motorcycles. He’s pretty good at it, and he’ll tell you the same thing about his restoration work.
Elena V., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice on the phone most days and nights. She’s been with the team for six years and handles the schedule, the insurance paperwork, and the thousands of small details that keep a restoration job moving. When you call after a dishwasher floods your kitchen, Elena is the one who picks up. Live. No phone tree. She’ll ask about the age of the house, where the water is, and whether you’ve shut off the main. Then she gets a crew dispatched. She also formats every job file so your adjuster gets photos, readings, and a clear scope of loss, because she knows the claim moves faster when the documentation is clean. Born in Camarillo, she’s the unofficial expert on which Thousand Oaks neighborhoods still have original cast-iron drain lines.
Danny R., Senior Installer
Danny handles most of the structural repair and rebuild work that follows the mitigation. That means replacing drywall, setting new baseboards, and making sure a repaired wall feels like a wall again, not a patch job. He’s been with Keegan since 2018 and works under the standards of IICRC and RIA, though he’ll tell you the real training was a decade of construction on older Thousand Oaks homes where nothing is square. He’s the one who notices when matching your ceiling texture means a hand-trowel, not a sprayer, because the original was done in the 1980s. Danny is meticulous to a fault, and his truck looks like it, which everyone appreciates.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this team works under the same set of rules, and those rules are written down, not implied. We call it The Garrison Code: show up inside the window, put the price in writing before any work begins, do it by the book, leave the site clean, and stand behind the repair for a full year. That last part is the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it means what it says. If a repair we made fails within twelve months, we come back and fix it at no charge. No fine print. No arguing. The same standard applies whether it’s Marcus pulling a wet pad in Newbury Park or Danny re-hanging drywall off Lynn Road. Shane enforces it, but honestly, the crew doesn’t need much enforcing. People who want to cut corners don’t last here. The equipment matters too. We run Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry machines because they hold up to daily professional use and produce the drying logs that adjusters expect. A consumer dehumidifier from a hardware store won’t do that, and it won’t stand up to an IICRC-level inspection. The tools don’t make the technician, but they give a good technician what he needs to do the job correctly the first time.
